Homemade fig bars for on-the-go snacking

Hi Reader!

I love cooking with the seasons, and it often challenges me to cook with things I usually wouldn't.

Figs aren't my favorite fruit plain, but baked, they are absolutely amazing! And while they're in season, I try to bake with them as much as possible.

These fig bars have a rich, sweet flavor, and are perfectly spiced for early fall. They are easy to pack, and make the perfect on-the-go snack or addition to a school lunch.

They're made with oats, so they're naturally gluten-free, but, I promise, you won't miss the flour one bit!
