Hi Reader!
My favorite way to eat healthier (especially on a budget) is to make foods at home that are typically store-bought. From peanut butter to granola, this has been one of the biggest ways our family eats healthy, organic food while still spending less than the average American (at least according to USDA food budget averages).
Of all the foods you can make yourself, salad dressing might be the easiest place to start. My go-to homemade Italian vinaigrette takes just 2 minutes to whip up, uses a few simple pantry staples, and is absolutely delicious on salads.
I promise, you won't miss store-bought vinaigrette one bit!
From my kitchen to yours,
Violet
